DAS Dean of Students, Mr. Prindle is the Graduation Coordinator for this school year.  Mr. Prindle will also serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the graduation in June.

His first task in this position is to establish a Graduation Committee consisting of DAS Staff members and two (2) existing DAS 8th grade students.  One student will be enrolled in the face-to-face option.  One student will be enrolled in the DAS eLearning option.

This committee will have different roles and responsibilities to fulfill in the preparation of the graduation ceremony, as well as other events or items throughout the school year pertaining to this year's 8th grade class. Mr. Prindle will appoint committee members who will oversee tasks, such as the venue decorations, security, the music, lights and other technical aspects, ushers and other roles for the ceremony next spring, as well as the creation and distribution of the 8th grade spirit shirts.

The team members will be asked to participate in ZOOM sessions for planning purposes on a monthly basis beginning in mid-late October of 2020.  The frequency of those sessions will become higher as the ceremony approaches.  Every team member will also be expected to participate in and attend the ceremony in June.

If you are interested in being one of the student's chosen to serve on this committee, please fill out the form below.  Mr. Prindle and the rest of the staff members on the committee with review the applications and select the best student representatives.  Students must not have any discipline referrals to the Dean of Students while attending DAS as a middle school student.  Students must also be on track to complete the necessary academic requirements to graduate the 8th grade in June.

The deadline to fill out this form is 8:30 am on Friday, October 9, 2020.  The chosen applicants will be notified of their selection to this committee on Friday, October 9, 2020 by 3pm.  The student's parents/guardians will be sent an email from Mr. Prindle as well.
