Hello DAS parents and students.
Although it is only the first week of e-learning, our student attendance rate is an outstanding 99%. Thank you so much for doing such a great job and we would like to keep the attendance rate at its peak for the rest of the e-learning.
In the meantime, I want to make some reminders about DAS connect attendance for both my elementary and middle school students and parents.
Elementary Attendance (K - 5)
After logging in DAS connect, unless they have an assignment for other subjects, elementary students should go to their ELA and Math Courses daily to be marked present. Although DASconnect daily email may indicate absence (A) for other subjects, elementary students will be marked present as long as they logged in any of the courses (preferably ELA and Math) for each day. Your classroom teacher will report your attendance status every day at 3 pm. Therefore, it is imperative for our students and parents to visit their courses on DASconnect by 3 pm every day, This way, we will ensure that all elementary students have access to learning materials daily.
All elementary parents and students are also advised to continue their Music and PE activities as advised by their instructor.
Middle School Attendance (6-8)
All Middle School students are required to login to each course listed on DAS connect on a daily basis to be marked present by their course teacher. Unlike elementary, Middle School attendance is based on students' participation in each and every course that they are enrolled in on DAS connect. And if a student does not go to one of the courses that he or she is enrolled to, he or she will be marked absent for the course he or she missed,
