Dear DAS Families,
We are excited to offer a variety of enriching non-STEM programs as part of our ELEVATE-DAS initiative. These clubs provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and engage in creative and social activities beyond the classroom. Whether your child is interested in the arts, leadership, sustainability, or physical wellness, we have something for everyone. These clubs not only enhance students' overall educational experience but also foster a sense of community and belonging within our school.
Please note that there is a cap on the number of students we can admit to each club. Club spots will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to sign up early to secure your child's place. Please complete one form for each of your children if you sign up more than one student. We will open the form up to all families promptly at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 30th.
Please also be aware that there is a minimum of a $25 club fee for all clubs. Some clubs have a higher fee due to needing to purchase additional supplies. The fees cover club t-shirts, any event registration fees and supplies. Please check the list below for the specific cost of each club.

Below, you will find a list of the non-STEM club options available to student. We encourage you to review the options and discuss with your child which clubs align with their interests and passions.
K-2nd Art Club
Description: This club offers students an opportunity to explore their artistic skills at an early age. Activities will include drawing, shading, and creative projects aimed at enhancing gross motor skills, which are essential for writing and coordination.

K-2nd Dance Club
Description: Students will learn new dance routines and participate in performances. After the December show, students can re-sign up for another session leading to a performance in the spring.

3rd-5th Grade Upcycling Club
Description: This club focuses on sustainability through recycling and upcycling. Students will engage in creating art from repurposed materials, participate in environmental awareness activities, and showcase their work in mid-year and end-of-year exhibitions.

3rd-5th Grade Art Club
Description: This club offers two sessions, each culminating in a showcase. Students will explore various art forms and techniques, working on group projects and individual creations to be displayed around the school.

4th-5th Grade Broadcasting Club
Description: Students will gain experience in audio and video production, including script-writing, camera work, and editing. They will create news segments to be broadcasted to the school, with opportunities to work in front of or behind the camera.

5th-8th Grade Model UN
Description: Model UN provides a platform for students to engage in debates on global issues, develop negotiation skills, and prepare resolutions. The club aligns with academic standards in Social Studies, History, and English Language Arts.

5th-8th Grade Tiger SAVE Club
Description: The SAVE Promise Club aims to reduce social isolation, increase student connectedness, and prevent school violence. Activities focus on fostering a caring and connected school community.

Description: Students will engage in a blend of yoga and dance activities, learning breathwork, yoga poses, and dance moves. The club promotes emotional management and creative expression through movement.

6th-8th Grade Crochet Club
